1. x^3+x^2-4x-4
=x^2(x+1)-4(x+1)
=(x+1)(x^2-4)
=(x+1){(x)^2-(4)^2}
=(x+1)(x-2)(x+2)
=x^2(x+1)-4(x+1)
=(x+1)(x^2-4)
=(x+1){(x)^2-(4)^2}
=(x+1)(x-2)(x+2)
