Given :- Value of x in the figure below is : (refer to image for diagram.)

Solution :-

from image we have :-

  • Exterior angle = 100° .
  • Interior opposite angles = x° and 60° .

we know that,

  • By exterior angle theorem if a triangle side gets an extension, then the resultant exterior angle would be equal to the sum of the two opposite interior angles of the triangle.

Therefore, we can conclude that,

→ Exterior angle = sum of Opposite 2 interior angles.

→ 100° = x° + 60°

→ x° = 100° - 60°

→ x° = 40° (Ans.) (Option B) .

Hence, value of angle x is equal to 40° .
