no lancho was not surprised to find a letter for him with money in it because lencho have noquestning faith in God . when lencho open the letter he find less money which is a little more than half (60-70) pesos he thinks rest of the money was taken by post office employees this made him angry and he calls them a bunch of crooks.

lencho was not at all surprised to see the money in the letter because he had utter faith in god . his unshakeable faith gave him confidence.he got angry when he received only 70 pesos instead of 100 pesos.he thought god would never make a mistake by sending less money ,so he doubted the post office employees for taking the money and called them a 'BUNCH OF CROOKS'
