1)Wax is heated in a China dish. How will the following change during heating:
1)Kinetic energy of particles
2)Inter particle distance

If you heat the wax in china dish then:

1). kinetic energy of the particle will increase this is because you are providing heat to the wax it means you are providing energy to the molecule of wax so its kinetic energy will increase.

2). For inter particle distance i am assuming you are asking for intermolecular distance so the intermolecular distance will increase.

The physical quantities and manner in which these need to be altered for liquifying gasses should be :

To liquify the gas one should increase the pressure and lower the temperature due to this the intermolecular distance will decrease and hence the gas will liquify.
