We are unable to see through mirror because one side of mirror is layeyed with zinc or mercury which makes a reflecting surface and dont allow to pass light but lens are not layered with any thing else so we are able to see beside them

HOPE THIS IS HELPFUL

1. bcz mirror is a one side polished surface but lens doesnt have any polished surface....

2.dispersion of light rays.

3. the light from the sun overhead would travel relatively shorter distance . so it appears white as only a little of the blue and violet colours are scattered .....

hope this helps uuuuu....
