The anomalous pair of elements are those elements which do not follow the increasing order of their atomic weight in the Mendeleev periodic table. Argon (Ar) and Carbon(C) are placed before the Potassium (K) and Nickel (Ni) respectively but they have comparatively higher atomic weight. Thus being on anomalous place in the periodic table these are called as the anomalous elements.
