1. A cell organelle is a specialized subunit within a cell that has a specific function. Example: Mitochondria (produces ATP), lysosomes (cleanses the cell), Nucleus (the brain of the cell), Chloroplast (in green plants only, takes part in photosynthesis).

2. SER - smooth endoplasmic reticulum - synthesis and storage of lipids.

RER- rough endoplasmic reticulum - synthesis and export of proteins.

3. Membrane bio-genesis is the process in which some proteins and lipids (produced in SER) help in building the cell membrane, inside a cell.

4. The main function of Golgi apparatus is secretory.

It produces vacuoles or secretory vesicles which contain cellular secretions like enzymes, proteins, cellulose etc.

Golgi apparatus is also involved in the synthesis of cell wall, plasma membrane and lysosomes.

5. Chloroplasts. Chloroplasts are biconvex shaped, semi-porous, double membraned, permeable cell organelle found within the mesophyll of the plant cell.

Chromoplasts. Chromoplasts is the name given to an area for all the pigments to be kept and synthesized in the plant.

Leucoplasts. These are the non-pigmented organelles which are colourless.

Gerontoplasts. Geronoplasts refers to the chloroplasts of the leaves that helps the beginning to convert into different other organelles when the leaf is no longer using photosynthesis usually in an autumn month.

6. Because the production of energy takes place in mitochondria. Mitochondria are called powerhouse because the energy required for various processes is released by it because it contain atp (andosine triphopshate). Mitochondria is the powerhouse of the cell because it produces energy to the cell.

7. Golgi Apparatus

8. Lysosomes are called suicide bags because of presence of these large number of acid hydrolases in them. Only a thin membrane separates the destructive enzymes from the rest of the cell. And if the membrane happens to get broken, various cellular constituents would undergo lysis (in other words, the cell will dissolve).

9. Keep harmful molecules and substances separated from the remaining part of cells.

Hold waste products.

Hold liquid or fluid in plant cells.

10. The cell is called the structural unit of life because all the organisms are made up of cells. The cell is also known as the functional unit of life because all the things that an organism does are controlled by cells.

Answer:

1. Cell organelles are present in the cell that helps in functioning of a cell. (Golgi apparatus, Endoplasmic reticulum, Ribosomes, Nucleus)

2. Ser- found in lipids, rer- found in proteins

3.-

4. Proteins from rer are transported to Golgi apparatus and are stored there. Many amino acids are present and the gene codes is made.

5. Proplaste, leukoplaste, eticoplaste, chromoplatse, chloroplaste.

6. Cuz they synthesis ATP and provide energy to cell for functioning.

7. -

8. Lysosomes are membrane-bound organelle found in many animal cells. They are spherical vesicles that contain hydrolytic enzymes, when breaks destroys the cell.

9. - storage structure of cell

- stores foods.

10. Cuz it's the smallest unit of living being that's functional in nature.
