An English scientist Robert Hooke in 1665 discovered the name cells, while examining a thin slice of bottle cork under a primitive microscope.

A tissue is a group or collection of similar cells which work together to achieve a particular function and have common origin. Blood, pholem and muscles are the examples of tissues.
