Answer:

hope this helps u :-)

Explanation:

1)Fluids are a phase of matter and include liquids, gases and plasmas. They are substances with zero shear modulus, or, in simpler terms, substances which cannot resist any shear force applied to them.

2)At room temperature , water is found in a liquid state. This is because of the tiny, weak hydrogen bonds which, in their billions, hold water molecules together for small fractions of a second. Water molecules are constantly on the move.

3)cotton has a porous structure, the air gets trapped between the pores making overall density of the cotton less then the water hence the cotton floats on the water. when the water replaces the air the pores, the density increases and the cotton sinks.

4)solids are generally denser than liquids because solids have particles closely packed and because of that they have more mass . in the case of liquid and gas they have a bit of freely moving particles. that is why they are not that denser.

5)The factors affecting the evaporation are:

a)Temperature.

b)Surface Area.

c)Density.

d)Wind Velocity.

6)High compressibility of gases is useful in following situations:

a) On compressing this petroleum gas forms liquid.

(b) Oxygen cylinders in the hospitals have compressed gas filled in it.

(c) CNG is a natural gas methane which is compressed and used as a fuel in vehicles and at home.

Answer:

1 . substances that can flow and does not have fixed shapes

2. as its freezing point is 0 degree C and boiling point is 100 degree C

3. cotton has a porous structure and it is because it absorbs water.

4.It is because the atoms present in solids are firmly attached with each other and have less spaces between them, where as liquids have less power of attraction between the atoms and the gases have the least power of attraction between the atoms and have much more spaces than solids and liquids so, solids are denser than liquids and gases.

5. air ,temperature ,air pressur etc are the one that effect the evaporation

6. it is useful to us in many ways like:

= LPG.

= Oxygen Cylinders and

= Natural gases.
