They are depends on insects and obtained nutrition from insects.

Drosera/sundew plant and Pitcher plant

All insectivorous plants performs photosynthesis but they don't obtained nitrogen directly from the soil because they grow in humid and poor nutritional soil. So by eating insects they obtained nitrogen.
