Chief characteristics of a good CV are as follows -

  • The CV should be written in decent and attractive format. Usage of bullet based points is always preferable for a good CV.
  • A good CV should be descriptive as well as very straight forward. Unwanted fluffing should be avoided because the interviewer skim reads the whole CV, and unwanted fluffing can become the reason behind the ignorance towards the key points.
  • To attract the interviewer towards the key points, the highlighting should be used as per the requirements. This can attract the mind of a skim reader.
  • A good CV should always describe about the presence of all the necessary requirements of the client, in the abilities of the job aspirant. In simple words, we have to give importance to the client's needs in our CV, rather than only describing ourselves.
