Answer:

1 The main components of the transport system in human beings are the heart, blood, and blood vessels. a. Heart pumps oxygenated blood throughout the body. It receives deoxygenated blood from the various body parts and sends this impure blood to the lungs for oxygenation.

3 . It is necessary in mammals and birds to separate oxygenated and de-oxygenated blood because this makes their circulatory system is more efficient and helps in maintaining constant body temperature.

4 In highly organized plants, vascular tissues (Xylem and Phloem) are the main components of transportation system. In general, xylem carries the water and minerals from roots to the aerial parts of the plants, whereas phloem carries food from leaves to other parts of the plants.

In plants, minerals and water are transported through the xylem cells from soil to the leaves. 5 The xylem cells of the stem, roots, and leaves are interconnected forming a conducting channel reaching all plant parts. ... Osmosis causes osmotic pressure hence water and minerals are transported from one to another cell.

6 Food is transported through Phloem in the plants. The process by which food substances are transported to the rest of the plant by phloem is known as translocation. The food prepared by the leaves istransported in the form of a solution. Xylem transports water and minerals upwards from the roots.

Answer:

answers to the following questions

1) The components of transport system in the human body are heart, blood vessels, blood, lymph and lymph vessels, arteries and veins.

2)The functions of these components are as follows :

   a) Heart : Pumping deoxygenated blood to liver and oxygenated blood to other body organs

b)Blood: Carries oxygen and nutrients required for cellular uptake.

c)Lymph : Carries proteins and dissolved nutrients.

3)The mixing of oxygenated blood and deoxygenated blood can disturb the endothermal behavoiur in warm blooded animals. ALso it helps in maintaining efficient circulation.

4)Xylem and phloem are the vascular bundles that help in transport of food and water. These vessels work due to the osmotic or turgor pressure of the roots due to difference in water concentration.

Hope this helps champ!
