Answer:
1. Xylem and phloem facilitate the transportation of water, minerals and food throughout the plant. Xylem carries water and minerals from the roots to the leaves. Whereas, phloem carries the food prepared by the leaves to different parts of the plant.
2. Xylem and Phloem are called Conducting Tissues because they conduct water,minerals and food through all parts of the plant.It also carrys food and glucose(starch) from leaves to the parts of the plants.It mainly carrys minerals,water from root to other parts.So,Xylem and Phloem are called as conducting tissues.
3. Xylem tissues are the tubular-shaped structure, with the absence of cross walls. This tissue resembles the shape of a star. Phloem tissues are tubular-shaped, elongated, structures with the presence of walls with thin sieve tubes.
Location
It is located in the centre of the vascular bundle. It is located on the outer side of the vascular bundle.
Fibres
Xylem fibres are smaller. Phloem fibres are larger.

Question 1:
What are the functions of xylem and phloem ?
Answer ;
functions of xylem : Xylem, plant vascular tissue that conveys water and dissolved minerals from the roots to the rest of the plant and also provides physical support. Xylem tissue consists of a variety of specialized, water-conducting cells known as tracheary elements.
functions of phloem;
Phloem is the vascular plant tissue responsible for the transport and distribution of sugars produced by the photosynthesis.
Question 2;
why xylem is called as conductive tissue?
