1) The president appoints the Chief Justice of India and other judges on the advice of the chief justice. He dismisses the judges if and only if the two Houses of the parliament pass resolutions to that effect by a two-thirds majority of the members present.

2 Indian judiciary is considered an independent institution because: It does not fall under the control of the legislative or the executive. The judges do not act on the government's direction or in the favour of the ruling party.

3) In Criminal Law, the accused person will be prosecuted in the court of law. ... In the case of Criminal Law, the powers of the court are charging a fine, imprisonment to the guilty of a crime, or discharge of the defendant.
