we can observe that

the dark coloured outer zone called the cortex and pale inner zone called the medulla . there are 6 - 8 pale conical striations called renal pyramid .each kidney is made up of approximately more than a millian microscopic and thin tubular functional units called nephrons or uriniferous tubules . each nephron is basically two parts 1 ) Malphighian body and 2) renal tubule
