  2. The main sources of information about the later Vedic civilization are the Vedic texts which were compiled after the age of the Rig Veda. These were the Sam Veda Samhita, the Yajur Veda Samhita, Atharva Veda Samhita, Brahmanas and Upanishads.
  3. With the use of these iron tools, people could easily clean the forests to cultivate lands and brought a large land under cultivation. Iron helped people to finish their task of clearing the land quicker than ever and thus contributed to the expansion of agriculture.
