1. Shah Jahan arrived in 1616 in Deccan and defeated Malik Ambar. The latter was forced to become a tributary vassal. In the year 1635, Shah Jahan marched to deccan kingdoms in person and conquered Nijamshahis and Bijapur kingdoms. Aurangzeb, the third son of Shah Jahan was given the viceroyalty of Deccan in 1655.
