Alkanes Containing 6 to 10 Carbon Atoms Are Converted Into Benzene And It's Homologous At High Temperature And In Presence Of a Catalyst. For Example, When n-Hexane Is Passed Over Chromium Oxide (Cr2O3) Supported Over Alumina (Al2O3) at 600 degree Celsius, Benzene Is Produced.
