An MNC is a company that owns or controls production in more than one Nation.

MNCs set up offices and factories for production in regions where they can get cheap labour and other resources this is done so the cost of production is low and MNCs can earn greater profits.

Foreign Investment : The money that MNC'S spend to buy assets such as land,building, machines and other equipment is called foreign investment. Any investment is made with hope that the assets will earn profits.

in general the criteria for selecting a site for operations of MNCs are 1) proximity to the markets

2) availability of skilled And unskilled labour at low cost and

3) availability of other factors of production 4)government policies to protect their interest.
