Answer: Oxidation reaction is a chemical reaction that it involves the moving of electrons . When iron reacts with oxygen two forms are chemical called rust because it has been oxidized ( the iron has lost some electrons ) and the oxygen has been reduced ( the oxygen has gained some electrons ) .

For example :- 2 mg + O² =2mgO

CH⁴ + 20² =CO2 + 2H²O

C²H⁵OH + 30² =2CO² + 3H²

Oxidation is an exothermic reaction .
