1) a mixture of sodium carbonate and potassium nitrate is fusion mixture .it is used in elemental analysis for determining the presence of halogens,sulphur and nitrogen in organic compounds.

2) epsom salt is hydrate of magnesium sulphate.

3) dilute solution of sodium metal in liquid ammonia gives a deep blue color while solution at the concentration above 3M are copper coloured.

4)the number of hydroxyl group in phosphorus acid is 2 and in phosphoric acid is 3
