Answer:

1) When some metals comes in contact with air in moisture and occurs some chemical changes on it then it is known as Corrosion.

2) By applying low reactive paint of metal on high reactive metal, grease, oil, etc.

3) For making Grills, Doors, and are used for making parts of vehicles.

Explanation:

Some of the metals like Aluminium, Copper, Silver, Sodium, etc. when comes in contact with air they forms the following reactions:-

Aluminium comes in contact with Oxygen and thus it forms, Al₂O. (Aluminium Oxide)

Copper comes in contact with Carbon Dioxide and thus it forms, CuCO3. (Copper Carbonate)

Silver comes in with hydrogen sulphide and thus it forms, Ag₂S. (Silver Sulphide)

What are Noble metals ?

The metals which do not get corroded when they comes in contact with air in moisture and are not reactive are known as Noble Metals.

Egs:- Gold and Platinum.

Answer:

• What is corrosion?

→ Corrosion is a natural process that converts a refined metal into a more chemically stable form such as oxide, hydroxide, carbonate or sulfide. It is the gradual destruction of materials by chemical and/or electrochemical reaction with their environment.
