Answer:

1, Deforestation refers to the decrease in forest areas across the world that are lost for other uses such as agricultural croplands, urbanization, or mining activities. Greatly accelerated by human activities since 1960, deforestation has been negatively affecting natural ecosystems, biodiversity, and the climate.

2, The word deforestation is not used for the cutting or trees or plants in residential areas. Deforestation creates imbalance in the ecosystem. So in forests, they have processes to see that the rate of cutting of trees is almost same as the rate at which the forests are regenerated.

3, When trees are cut down and burned or allowed to rot, their stored carbon is released into the air as carbon dioxide. And this is how deforestation and forest degradation contribute to global warming.
