2. Urey and Miller Experiment : Stanley L.Muller and Harold c.Urey conducted an experiment to explain the origin of life on earth. They used H2O, methane, ammonia and hydrogen which they believed were present. The chemical sealed inside sterile glass tubes and flasks. The water vapour was heated and the vapour released was added to the chemical mixture. The electrode were used to spark the fire to imitate lighting and storm through water vapours. The vapours cooled down and the water condensed. This water trickles back in the first water flask in continous cycle. After a week Miller and Urey analysed the cooled water and observe that 10-15% carbon was in the form of orgainc compounds.
