Gender is a word that is used to talk about how people express masculine (traits most people think of as male) or feminine (traits most people think of as female) traits. It is commonly used for a person's sex (male or female) but this word only means someone's biology (body parts).

Men and women discrimated on the basis of gender by :-

1. Women are usually paid less than men even though they do same work

2. Usually society prefer women work at home, household like cooking,etc and men should be work outside

3. literacy rate among women is very low as compared to men

4. People prefer female girl child over male

That's why sex ratio is declining

5. Girls are provided less education as compare to men but academic result of girls are much better than boys but still their parents prefer spending money on boy's education

6. Women are exploited on various grounds the percentage of crimes against women like dowry, harassment, physical and mental abuse etc has risen
