1) homework is the assignment given to students by a teacher to do it while they are at their home.

2) The concept started during the early 1000 BC's while Guru kul and guru ashrams existed.

3) The purpose of homework is to make sure that the student learns and revises what he performed or studied in the class.

4) I think homework is important because it allows a mental brain to perform more problems and helps them retain information in a far more better Way. It shouldn't be taken as a burden unless it's given in an excessive amount.

homework is the work which we do at home.
but generally it means the work which is given in school and that work we complete at home
concept of homework start 1 if u mean homework than from when man was born because he had some kind of work
2 if u mean school homework than when the school s started since than.
purpose of the home work is that we do the work which is given to us sincerely. this will create a kind of interest in any one or more subjects. so, the purpose of homework is that you should be able to do things which are given to u(actually there are many purposes)
it helps to build our intellectual power.
actually it is not a burden u take it as burden so, it depends upon u if say burden than it is burden of u say say I like it and I enjoy doing it then there is no question of burden(lol)
