• isotopes are those substances which have same atomic number but different atomic masses.
eg–– 1H¹ 1H² 1H ³

• isobar are those substances which have same atomic masses but different atomic numbers
Ar , K , Ca

• astatine is a chemical substance which has atomic number 85 and is very radioactive . First produced by bombarding bismuth on alfha particle

1) the element having same atomic no but different mass no is known as isotopes.

2) the element having different atomic no but same mass no it is known as isobars

3) a highly unstable radioactive element , the heaviest of the halogen series, that resembles iodine as soln. the name it self of "astatos" means unstable.
