  • Example - Carbon 12 and Carbon 14 are both isotopes of carbon, one with 6 neutrons and one with 8 neutrons.

The atoms that have same number of nucleons. Isobars of different chemical elements have different atomic number but have the same mass number.

Example of isobar is given as

40 Ca 20and 40 K

Both have same mass number but different atomic number, so these are isobars of each other.
