1. If you are loath to do something, you really don't want to do it. If you are reluctant to go swimming, people will say you are loath to swim but if they are really mean, they might throw you in the pool anyway.

2. Shylock thinks that Antonio as his enemy because every time when he used to meet Shylock at Rialto, he used to spat on him, kill him and call him a dog. There were many more things which proved Shylock's and Antonio's enviness towards each other.
