Answer:

1.Fixed capital includes the assets or investments needed to start and maintain a business, like property or equipment. Working capital is the cash or other liquid assets that a business uses to cover daily operations, like meeting payroll and paying bills.

2.The use of modern farming methods proved beneficial for Indian farmers as they could get a greater yield on the same plot of land using HYV seeds than the traditional seeds

3. Modern farming methods include the use of chemical fertilizers and pesticides thus can harm the soil fertility. ⇒ Modern farming methods and pesticides mix inside with the ground water and can cause ground water depletion . ⇒ The use of HYV seeds requires lot of water for irrigation.

Explanation:

1.The primary difference between fixed capital and working capital is that Fixed Capital is the capital which is invested by the company in procuring the fixed assets required for the working of the business whereas working capital is the capital which is required by the company for the purpose of financing its day to day operations.

2.By using these methods Indian farmers became able to produce much greater amounts of grain on a single plant. They now had greater amounts of surplus wheat to sell in the markets, which eventually improved their economic condition.

3.Modern farming methods have undoubtedly made the farmers selfdependent by increasing the production. At the same time they have overused the natural resource base.

Increased use of chemical fertilisers have reduced soil fertility. Also, continuous use of groundwater for tubewell irrigation has reduced the water table below the ground.

Environment resources like soil fertility and groundwater are built up over many years. Once destroyed it is very difficult to restore them. We must take care of the environment to ensure future development of agriculture.
