  • Pollution is term used to represent a condition, when some undesirable, unwanted substance is added to enviornment.
  • These substances are called pollutants.

Some important and Common types of pollution are

1) Air pollution -

  • When unwanted substances (pollutant) are added to/contaminate air.
  • Cause- gaseous exhaust from vehicle, factories , volcano (natural pollutant)

2) Soil pollution -

  • When pollutant is added to/ contaminate soil , which results in removal of useful substance.
  • Cause - Disposal of waste , plastic contamination

3) Water pollution -

  • When pollutant is added to/contaminate water.
  • Cause - Pesticides from agriculture fields, Industrial waste , sewage dumping

4) Noise pollution -

  • When some unwanted and unnecessary sounds or noise is added.
  • Cause - traffic sound , Construction noise, DJ sounds
