Cryptogams are plants which has inconspicuous or hidden reproductive organs. The word cryptogamae means

crypto - hidden

gamae - gametes, reproductive organs. Cryptogamae have three subdivisions - Thallophyta, Bryophyta, Pteridophyta

For Eg - Fern, Spriogyra, Marsilea etc.

Phanerogamae are plants which have conspicuous reproductive organs present as seeds inside the fruit of the plant.

Phanerogamae have two subdivisions - Angiosperms and Gymnosperms.

For Eg - Pine, Wheat, Maize etc.

Hope this helps
