1) Kink prevents the mercury present in the capillary to fall back in the bulb so it seperates the mercury at high temperature and cools the mercury and allows the user to note the reading when thermometer is taken out .
2) a measure of warmth or coldness of an object or an substance with reference to some standard value is called a temperature.
3) Similarities
   i)the bulbs of both thermometeres have mercury in them.
   ii)both have long, narrow, uniform glass tubes.

   i)the least count of both thermometers differs
