so, u give them 2 each leaving u with no candies or zero remainder,

but if u had 5 candies and the same 2 kids u wud be left with 1 as remainder

so we can observe that if the dividend is the number of candies and the divisor is the number of kids, then u will only be able to give all equally without a remainder if the number of kids is a factor of the no. of candies

PS:- candies cannot be divided in this case as we are talking abt integers
