(1) What is the momentum in kg.m/s of a 10 kg car travelling at
(a)5m/s
(B)20cm/s
(C)36km/h?

(2) What the change in momentum of a car weighting 1500 kg when it's speed increases from 36 km/h to 72 km/h uniformly.

(3) Calculate the momentum of a toy car of mass 200 g moving with a speed of 5m/s .

Dear Friend

Here is your answer

1..

Given Mass = 10 kg
i) when speed is 5 m/s then momentum

= mv= 10×5
=50 kgm/s

ii) Speed = 20 cm/s

First of all convert velocity in to m/s
which will be 20/100 = 0.2 m/s

Using Momentum = mv= 10×0.2
= 2 kg m /s

iii) Speed = 36 km/h = 10m/s
momentum = 10×10
= 100 kg m/s

2...

Change in momentum
= m(v-u)
= 1500(20-10)
= 15000 kgm/s

3..

Mass = 200 gm = 0.2 kg
momentum= 0.2× 5= 1 kg m/ s.

Hlo friend..

Please see the attached picture..

Sorry please see 1st question (i) part

M = 10 kg
V = 5m/s
P = M × V
=10×5
= 50 kg m/s

HOPE IT HELPS YOU..
