2. Why is B. Tech preferred over B.E.
3. After B. Tech, should we do M. Tech OR MBA?
4. What is the difference between B. Sc. Biotechnology and B. Tech. Biotechnology?
Answers
Answer-1).The most obvious difference between the two is that BE is Bachelor of Engineering and B Tech is Bachelor of Technology. The course materials as well as orientation of these programs are quite dissimilar. While BE is data orientated, B.Tech is skill orientated.
Answer-2).I will prefer you to take B.Tech not B.Sc. I say this due to following reasons:
i) B.Tech will give you a technical hand which is highly preferred by companies. a technical person is supposed to tackle problems with ease.
ii)B.Tech will give you more salary in any firm or company. B.Sc person will get comparatively lower salary.
iii) The syllabus of B.Sc is vast and it is far more then B.Tech syllabus. So if you are a decent student, you will do great in engineering.
iv) You have more carrier options available after B.Tech. The options after B.Sc are limited.
v) You have an opportunity of foreign placements through B.Tech while simple B.Sc will not get you a foreign call.
Answer-3).There are a lot of things you can do after getting a B.Tech Degree. You can take up a job, start your own business or pursue higher studies. The students can choose different options and some may still remain confused. However, the best alternative after completing B.Tech is to study for M.Tech in order to avail the benefits of a higher degree.
Answer-4). Hi, Coming to basics, the 4 year B.Tech. curriculum focuses on the technological applications in biology. The 3 year B.Sc. course is conducted as any other science subject and the students can go for the M.Sc. course and take up research later.
A few universities offer a 5 year integrated M.Sc. biotechnology course for Plus Two students in the science stream.
Out of these 2, according to me Btech Biotech is good as it has much good scope and jobs available than just simply B.Sc in Biotech.
Btech Biotech is more of a professional degree than just a B.Sc Biotech degree.
Hope this helps.
