A compass is a magnetometer used for navigation and orientation that shows direction relative to the geographic cardinal directions (or points). Usually, a diagram called a compass rose shows the directions north, south, east, and west on the compass face as abbreviated initials.

hope it helps

A compass is a kind of map which is used by people in the areas where there is no kind of thing to search for a correct way. It is known as Magnetic Compass. When compass points it's key to North, it means it has found a magnetic touch of 1,000 miles distance. By this, a person can find its way.

A compass has a compass rose - which shows the directions- North, South, East and West. The compass format is of a circle. Here,

  • North = 0⁰
  • South = 180⁰
  • East = 90⁰
  • West = 270⁰
