A)
Remember this formula :- (2n)^2
where n is the no. of the orbit i.e. 1,2,3,4...

Outermost shell/orbit can accommodate maximum 8 electrons.

Atomic No. = No.of protons
No. of protons = No. of electrons
So,
2 electrons in the first orbit
8 electrons in the second orbit
8 electrons in the third orbit {outermost shell can accommodate only 8 electrons}
6 electrons in the fourth orbit.

It is easier to gains 2 electrons than to lose 6 electrons

B)

sureshh: thnq for explaining. I also know that one but I'm confused the valency is 2 or 4
shreyakeshwar: it's 6
sureshh: it's 4
shreyakeshwar: if u know the answer so why r. u asking
sureshh: just I'm co2nfirming the answer.some says it's wrong in other app that's y I'm asked.
