metabolism
bacteria killing & protein breakdown surrounding create for enzyme activation
to breakdown food in it's simple absortive form
it's too long & many cillia for more surface area to absorb foods (digested)

1) all processes are equally important as they are integrated with each other ex -digestion , excretion, etc .so we can't live upon just one .It's the total co-ornation between them that keeps us alive
2)acid /HCL has the role to kill the bacteria, etc foreign agents coming alongwith food in stomach and also to maintain acidic pH required for pepsin secretion.
3) digestive enzymes -tgere are many like trypsin ,pepsin ,etc .all have their own functions ..for example .
Pepsin is an endopeptidase that breaks down proteins into smaller peptides.
4) there are villi/lacteals/lymph vessels that absorb the digested food/assimilation and thus helps to get nutrients to go in our main blood stream.
