One of the asteroids has fallen out of its
place in the asteroid belt and is hurtling
towards the sun. Our earth is in its way
and there is all likelihood of a collision.

THIS QUESTION MEANS THAT SOME GRAVITATIONALLY STRONG OBJECT CAME NEAR ASTEROID BELT ,FORCED ONE OF THE ASTEROID IN THE BELT BY OVERCOMING THE SUN GRAVITATIONAL INFLUENCE ,BECAUSE IT IS VERY DISTANT FROM SUN, SO WHEN THE ASTEROID ENTERS THE INNER SOLAR SYSTEM ,IT IS BY EARTH DUE TO IT'S GRAVITY ,AS THE USUAL ASTEROIDS ARE BLOCKED BY OUR ATMOSPHERE DUE TO FRICTION,BUT IF IT IS SOME WHAT LARGER THEN THE NORMAL ASTEROIDS THEN IT CAN COLLIDE AND CAUSE SOME SERIOUS DAMAGE .THIS CAN ONLY BE PREVENTED IF WE CAN DESTROY BEFORE THE COLLISION WITH SURFACE BY MAY BE MISSILES ETC.
