One of the asteroids has fallen out of its
place in the asteroid helt and is hurtling
towards the sun. Our earth is in its way
and there is all likelihood of a collision.

The collision of asteroid with earth can be prevented by changing the path of asteroid. This can be

achieved by breaking the asteroid into smaller pieces either by a missile or by planting a nuclear bomb

on it. Another method would be to collide an unmanned spacecraft with the asteroid. A gravity tractor

can be used to deflect the asteroid’s orbit. Also, high power laser beams can be used to change the

path of asteroid.
