let x is added to 4:9 then
x+4/9 =1/2
x=1/2-4/9
x=9-4×2/18
x=9-8/18
x=1/18 is answer

2. let numbers be 5x, 7x
2 is subtracted
5x-2:7x-2
(5x-2)/(7x-2 )=7/10
(5x-2) ×10 = (7x-2)×7
50x-20=49x-14
50x-49x = -14+20
x=6
numbers are 5x
=5(6)=30
7x
7(6)
=42
30,42 are numbers
