Answer:

1.. very reactive metal sodium , potassium

2.Copper , lead

3Borax is the salt resulting from neutralisation of boric acid with sodium hydroxide so addition of an acid just reverts the salt back to boric acid.

Na2B4O7 + H2SO4 + 5H2O = 4H3BO3 + Na2SO4

4. ek forms magnesium oxide in hydrogen gas is evolved.

Answer:

Heyy mate!!...Your answer is...

1.Metals more reactive than carbon, such as aluminium, are extracted by electrolysis, while metals less reactive than carbon, such as iron, may be extracted by reduction with carbon.

2.Copper, lead and mercury are all less electropositive metals and so they can be extracted by self-reduction from their respective sulphide ores.

3.On adding a calculated quantity of concentrated sulphuric acid to a hot concentrated solution of borax, boric acid is produced. On heating borax with ethyl alcohol and concentrated sulphuric acid , vapours of triethylborates are produced. When ignited these vapours burn with a green edged flame .

4.When Mg reacts with nitric acid (HNO3)then, Magnesium nitrate produces and some amount of Hydrogen gas elaborate.
