1.it was the most unexpected and extra ordinary event in Indian history. it was named sepoy mutiny but it wasn't just it many joined it for many reasons.

2. political:

they entered in many of the political reasons which they actually didn't need to interfere

they introduced many foolish i.e unwanted laws for extending their fortification like: paramountacy, doctrine of lapse, Subsidary Allaince, ect.

economic:

they made a lot of profit by looting India's wealth

they made India a brook country

they used the Diwani of Bengal to manage their expenses

they bought India's goods from India's money

they refused to pay many taxes for trading

3. there was suspition that the guns were greased with the fat of cow and pig

many soldiers were asked to go over seas.

they were paid less.

4. they imposed false statements on many rulers

they fortified places by betraying rulers
