Rowlatt act was the act in which the British curbed the freedom of speech and expression. Gandhiji and others thought this act as devilish.They could not take away people's basic rights.There were many hartals and demonstrations against it.The British tried to suppress them.The Jallianwala Bagh massacre was a part of their repression.
