Answer:

1. That day had a special place in Helen Keller’s heart. The day she finally learned to speak something. The little seven year old had guessed by her mother’s movements that something unusual was about to happen in the house. She did not know her life was about to change and what the future held for her. He,en felt the same frustation, bitterness and anger she had been feeling the last few weeks. But it all changed as Anne Sullivan stepped into the house.

2.Keller describes herself as angry and bitter before Sullivan's appearance, having frequent tantrums in order to get the attention she craved and also to have the excuse afterwards to crawl into her mother's lap and be held. She describes herself as so isolated by her disabilities that she could not feel compassion and empathy toward other people. She tells the story, for example, of being so angry when she finds her baby sister in her favorite doll's cradle that she dumps the baby out, heedless of the possibility of harming or killing her. It is not until after Keller has developed a bond with Sullivan and felt completely loved that she is able to reach out and love others.

3. Anne Sullivan made Helen understand that everything has a name by making her touch everything and spell the word in her hand.she also made Helen to touch the gushing water and spell the word water in her hand. the first word learnt by Helen is doll. so this method had brought a change by her beloved teacher Anne Sullivan.

4. a) Helen was suffering from pain. She had a desire to see, to listen, to learn and experience things but she couldn’t . She was angry on the illness which made her suffer this. She was frustrated on waiting to be happy and joyful, someday. It broke her heart not being able to do those things before the arrival of Anne Sullivan.

b)The "light" that Helen Keller longed for was the ability to communicate with others, and to learn. Having been terribly ill when she was a toddler, she was left completely blind and deaf. In this condition, it had been seen as impossible to communicate with her.The "light" arrived in the form of a teacher, Miss Anne Mansfield Sullivan. With Sullivan's help, Keller was able to connect words that were spelled out into her hand with the objects they represented.Receiving this light, or ability to communicate, changed Keller's life in every way imaginable. In a nutshell, she was now able to be a functioning member of society once again.

I hope this helps you !!!
