Adding to the answers…Snell’s law explains well. But, Have you not wondered to know the difference between same medium and different media? If a light is incident normally on a surface where the other surface is also the same as the first one, even then, the light doesn't bend. The difference you can observe in the wave length. If it is same media, there won't be any change in the wave length. If they are different media and light is incident normally, the velocity of the light changes thus the wave length. (Use the refractive index formula n = c/v and v=freq × wavelength.) Also, look at the concepts like reflection and Transmission.
