Perimeter of a rectangle = 2(L + B)

If 5 is subtracted from the length and breadth,

Length = L - 5

Breadth = B - 5

Therefore,

Perimeter = 2[(L - 5) + (B - 5)] = 26

= 2(L + B - 10) = 26

Mathematical statement -

2(L + B - 10) = 26
