⭐️⭐️⭐️ ANSWER ⭐️⭐️⭐️

⏩⏩ 1) ionic bonds are formed when the electron present in the valance shell of an atom gets completely transferred to the another atom. hence completing its octate.

covalent bonds are formed when the electrons present in the valance shell of both the atoms are shared with each other, completing its octate.

2) properties of covalent compounds are :-
a) they are brittle solids
b) they have low melting and boiling point
c) they are poor conductors of heat and electricity.
and many more......

3) (i) halo group - no
(ii) alcohol group - ol
(iii) aldehyde group - al
(iv) carboxylic group - oic acid
(v) ketone group - one
