Answer

1. When I stood on the bridge, I could see the whole city.( use the gerund standing)

  • When I was standing on the bridge, I could see the whole city.

2. Grandma is afraid to go on journeus that are long.( use infinitive to + verb)

  • No need to change the sentence as to + verb is already used in the sentence that is, to + go.

3. Gayatri and raman , who are swimmers, have bagged medals at the zonals. ( use the noun swimmers)

  • Here also, swimmers is already used in the sentence as "who are swimmers" so we don't need to change anything.
